Desert Native American Traditions
SouthWest Native Americans believe that one Almighty looked over everyone, and would reward you when you were good, like with a good crop season, but if you are bad, you get punished. The consequence may vary, depending on what you did. Instead of seeing this Almighty as a man in the sky, They think of This as a creature that exists in the universe itself. The Almighty's power comes from the sun, And when they pray at the sun, they are not worshipping the sun, but they are worshipping the spirit of the Almighty. Instead of the Afterlife, They believe when you die, you just get transported to another world and live on, continuing your everyday activities, as if you where still alive.
DREAM CATCHERS
Dream catchers were designed to catch the "evil" and keep your dreams happy, and not nightmares, but they were also to keep you safe. Once other tribes heard about them, they adopted the idea, and it spread from tribe to tribe.
